Gabrielle Bernstein is recognized worldwide as the “expert spiritual junkie,” highly sought after for her guidance on how you can become your best advocate and learn to go with the flow. A writer of eight New York Times Best Selling books with her 9th, “Happy Days” soon to be released, she is a trailblazer leading individuals on the path to inner peace and alignment. Bernstein guides others to “a spiritual relationship of their own understanding,” and has been distinguished as a “Next Generation Thought Leader” by Oprah Winfrey.

She shares her wisdom on platforms such as Dr. Oz, CBS, ABC, MasterClass and TEDx, her reach has expanded to her own podcast called “Dear Gabby”–– which launched in April of 2021. On her podcast, she dives deep in real conversations with special guests revealing transformational healing experiences. Her ultimate goal, which she shares the resources to achieve in her Miracle Membership––is to inspire others to become their happiest, healthiest selves through a combination of spirituality, meditation therapy and self-love.

Bernstein started her spiritual path by meditating in ashrams in upstate New York alongside her mother. She turned to spirituality on and off throughout her teens and early 20s. In 2005, spirituality saved her during her darkest hours as an addict. After hitting rock bottom, she committed to spirituality and became sober. This pivotal moment was the beginning of what propelled her forward to becoming the powerful leader she is today.

A wise sage to the multitudes, she teaches how to tune into your soul and tap into the power of the Universe, serving as a beacon of hope to all who will listen.

BECOMING OUR OWN BEST ADVOCATES

Gabrielle Bernstein: We have the power to regulate our own thought systems. The best way to deal with the negative comments of others is to create healthy and loving boundaries––just be extraordinarily clear and radically honest. As a matter of fact, say, “I am not comfortable with those comments,” or, “That makes me feel this way.” We don’t give ourselves enough permission to create boundaries. We often override ourselves in other relationships, which causes us to take on the negativity of others. We can really take ownership of how we want to feel, what we want to take on and the boundaries that we want to create.

POWER OF MEDITATION

Gabrielle Bernstein: I’ve meditated every day for the last 15 years. I meditate now for at least 20 minutes a day, but typically about 40 minutes in the middle of the day.

In the morning, I wake up at about five o’clock, and I usually stay in bed until six-thirty. At that time, I’m resting. I’m sort of awake, but asleep. I guess you could call it meditating but it’s not a traditional meditation practice. Then I get my son up and start my day. At noon, I do a 40-minute meditation. It’s in my calendar, my team doesn’t book anything at that time. I’ve discovered [with] my own nervous system, I go hard in the morning, then around noon, I start to tank. That’s why that meditation practice is strategically placed at this time. I meditate before I eat lunch. That way I’m energized, relaxed and refreshed.

HOW TO BECOME A SUPER ATTRACTOR

Gabrielle Bernstein: All the practices that I teach are designed to help people regulate their nervous system, calm their mind and release anxiety, tension and stress. All of those results lead you into a more receptive attitude, allowing you to hear that voice of inspiration. You will feel more connected to the Universe and you can manifest more into your life. Pretty much everything I teach is about feeling good, and in the pursuit of feeling good we become what I call “Super Attractors.” We then start to be able to attract more of what we want into our life.

LET GO & LET FLOW

Gabrielle Bernstein: There was a time when I was living in a way that was pretty unresolved. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was in a  chronic state of post-traumatic stress that hadn’t been diagnosed. When you’re in a chronic state of stress, your body’s not going to be very receptive. Now, I’ve been on an even deeper journey of undoing my past and becoming more present in this moment. It’s been a beautiful practice of witnessing that trying to control something is a joke, because the Universe has a plan that’s better than you. A controlling attitude keeps us stuck, misaligned and blocks our power to attract what we want. The key to attracting is to let go––allow and trust that things are unfolding in a natural order.

When frustrated, just continue to give it over––pray for what’s of the highest good, not for what you think you need.

THE ART OF STRENGTHENING PRESENCE

Gabrielle Bernstein: I’m currently working on strengthening my presence in my close relationships. A couple of tips:

1 ) Put your freaking phone down! I don’t personally have it in my bedroom–that’s a good thing.

2 ) I have extreme rules around sleep hygiene. No electronics in the bedroom. I go to bed at nine o’clock, and I wake up at five o’clock.

WORDS OF WISDOM

Gabrielle Bernstein: Give people the respect to say “We’ve been through a lot.” We’re now going back to somewhat of a normal life and it’s easy to jump back into things and override whatever we may need emotionally, spiritually or physically. I would recommend that everybody take it slow and take care of themselves as they start to enter back into the world [post COVID-19]. Be conscious and aware of the ways that you might be different, and respect yourself because we’ve all been through a tremendously traumatic event. We deserve to care for ourselves as we transition back.“ In stillness we receive,” really implies that when we’re slowing down, meditating and have greater self-awareness––this is when we start to get the intuitive hit to take an action that we wouldn’t have taken otherwise. We start to receive inspired ideas from that still place where inspiration can be channeled.
