Mark and Brianna Lumpkin are a remarkable couple who not only have the privilege of being parents to four incredible children but also serve as the founding pastors of New Life Church in Oklahoma. Their church is rapidly growing, and its mission is to reach everyone and empower ordinary believers to make a significant impact on those around them through personal life transformation.
They embody the essence of servant leadership, as expressed in the words of Mark: “Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people.” This quote from 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 captures their dedication to reaching people from all walks of life, regardless of their religious or moral background. They strive to understand others’ perspectives and experiences while remaining grounded in their faith in Christ.
For the Lumpkins, true fulfillment lies in a life of self-sacrifice for the sake of others. They believe that genuine happiness is found in giving rather than preserving oneself. Brianna sums it up beautifully by stating, “To be a person of influence is to be influential with all sides of yourself. Your talents and your flaws. Your victories and mistakes. True vulnerability is true influence.”

One of the projects that excites Mark and Brianna is their involvement in The Pastors and Leaders Network, alongside Nicole Vallance. This network provides support and coaching for pastors, helping them navigate the challenges of ministry and avoid burnout. Mark and Brianna attribute their own growth and success to the mentorship and development they have received from Nicole Vallance. They eagerly anticipate witnessing more growth and positive transformation through The Pastors and Leaders Network.

A significant focus for them is to restore the negative perception of the church and rebuild the bridge between the church and those who feel lost or disconnected. They aim to break down barriers and create an environment where people can experience God’s love and grace. As Mark shares, “I’m super excited to continue to restore the negative view of the church and continue to rebuild the bridge between the church and the lost.”
