Gold Sponsor: Vegan State of Mind in collaboration with Planet Health Compton is transforming what it means to experience a whole health lifestyle. Planet Health Compton and VSOM work to encourage conscious living. Planet Health Compton is a plaza located in the City of Compton with multiple storefronts. It will be a creative space dedicated to providing access to vegan education, health, and wellness. Part of that building includes the VSOM clothing store, a clothing brand inspired by a Vegan State of Mind. Their mission is to thread communities together through conscious clothing and conscious living while supporting other minority-owned brands. One of their partners share,  “Aside from studies proving the health benefits of a vegan lifestyle, vegan living also inspires body consciousness, individual health and positive perceptions of the world.”

About the donations: Shields for Families were recipients of the donated gifts in partnership with Media Aid Center. Irving Quinonez, Program Coordinator at Shields for Families shares, “It’s important for organizations such as LA Style Magazine to give back to agencies like ours because without these contributions we cannot continue to make a long-lasting impact in our community. The families we serve, some of them homeless and all of them below the federal poverty level, are able to obtain the support they need thanks to your contributions. Furthermore, your continuous support also shows that there are generous people out there that care about their wellbeing and that of the entire Los Angeles community. This event, in particular, was meaningful in that we were able to team up with the City of Compton and put something together for the community at a larger scale.”
