In light of the holiday season, the Modern Day Wife (MDW) hosted their ‘So Let’s Shop’ Event in partnership with the astonishing and beautiful SLS Luxury Collection Hotel located in Beverly Hills on November 30, 2022. The grand Modern Day Wife event had a goal of honoring successful women who seek to prosper through female-based entrepreneurship practices. The idea behind #SoLetsShop underlines how women can cultivate their own impact, trademark, and authority in gaining knowledge from Modern Day Wife’s collaborative event including LA’s finest small businesses owners and girl bosses.
To get the ‘So Let’s Shop’ event started, an exclusive set of Beverly Hills commerce members, influencers, and sponsors were invited to the VIP Pre-Party, where they were able to take part in MDW’s fun photo opp. Decor included multi-colored balloons, white lights, and a silver-plated glitz and glamor backdrop to top it all off. At the forefront of the ‘So Let’s Shop’ experience were hearty laughs and happy smiles to pair with these high-quality Instagrammable moments.
While high-power networking and shopping took place in the vicinity, host Emilia McCarthy was active at the VIP Pre-Party—eager to greet MDW’s guests with refreshing cocktails provided by the SLS Luxury Collection Hotel’s caterers. The choice of alcohol included but were not limited to Grey Goose Vodka and Mount Gay Barbados Rum, among a selection of mixies such as pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and soda. LA performer Chesca Musica took the stage as patrons found their seats while listening to some songs from her newest album “Feel The Breeze.” The Modern Day Wife’s pop-up shops acted as the main event, where over 20 vendors provided customers with information about their goods and services. Notable sponsors included, Nellie’s Clean, Lavender and Truffles, Darcase, Modern Esthetics, Legendary Foods, The Art of Dental Wellness, and ReFa.
Commerce members, influencers, and sponsors later savored the ‘So Let’s Shop’ event’s fireside chat by Angel Collins and Ann Marie Ahern of the Ahern & Collins Estate Team. As they spoke about their endeavors as accomplished women realtors in greater LA and how they sell luxury homes in Beverly Hills. Following their conversation, three business panels took place, where the moderator and Publisher of L.A. STYLE Magazine, Tricia Love Vargas, introduced the first set of influential women—Sally Hayes, Kathy Kamei, O’Shea Willis, Jen Marples, Dr. Kerri Hill, Ronit Gravori, and Courtney Claghorn. The next panel was commenced by MDW’s dynamic duo Meagan Ayres and Meghan Fialkoff, featuring more power-house women including Nahjee Shabazz, Daria Chuprys, Jessica Hawley, Anastasia Fedorina, Karita Cassia, and Asbasia Mikhail. More high-status women, such as television personality Alex Hall of Selling OC, model and content curator Catie Li, actress and author Elisa Donovan of Clueless, and extra TV show host Rachel Lindsay Abasolo of The Bachelor participated in a special celebrity panel to share their stories of triumph and career satisfaction in their creative industries.
At the conclusion of the ‘So Let’s Shop’ event, MDW put on a star-studded fashion show, displaying select, hand-picked pieces to represent their featured pop-up lines. From sexy lingerie to silky mini dresses, the fashion show promoted brands such as Ala von Auersperg, Bra-Sériē, Active Pear, Xtyle It Fashion, Plus Bus, and Via Orefici Jewelry.
