Griffith Park Experience: Hollywood Hills Hike

The Marvin Braude Bike Trail

Affectionately called The Strand by locals, the Marvin Braude Bike Trail stretches along the Pacific Coast through its most famous beaches. There are many places to start and end your bike trip to accommodate your preferences. If you are looking for a challenge, you can embark on the entire 21-mile stretch, with endpoints at Will Rogers State Beach and Torrance Beach. There is parking along the trail.

Horseback Riding- Sunset Ranch Hollywood Stables

Another way to explore the Hollywood Hills is on horseback! Sunset Ranch offers one- to two-hour horseback rides, guided through the hills with breathtaking views of LA and the Hollywood sign. They also offer a 2 hour evening tour if you’d love to catch the sun setting over the L.A. skyline!

Arboretum and Botanical Garden

The Los Angeles Arboretum offers beautiful gardens for visitors to peacefully explore. Gardens are full of native and exotic plants from all over the world. Within the magical Arboretum and Botanical Garden you can find the beloved Baldwin Lake and different historic structures.

You can also take part in a variety of classes offered for all ages, educating visitors on gardening, cooking, art, and wellness. If you are looking for an outdoor activity during the holidays, the Arboretum is offering a beautiful light exhibit. It takes place from November 12th till January 16th and prices vary from $18 to $32.

This “Color is Beautiful” issue,  features over 100 public statements from a collection of movie stars, music legends, political figures, sports stars and more who have spoken out for justice.
