Goodbye July, hello August. We’re more than halfway through the year and Los Angeles events are hotter than ever. Here is a list of events for the whole family to enjoy for the first week of august!

Annenberg PetSpace Kids Camp: Critter Camp || 9am – 2pm August 1st

Mike Birbiglia: The Old Man and the Pool || 1pm / 2:30pm / 6:30pm / 8pm || August 2nd – 7th Daily

“On the heels of his award-winning Broadway show The New One, which made its West Coast premiere on the Ahmanson stage, comedian and storyteller Mike Birbiglia returns to Center Theatre Group with a tale of life, death, and a highly chlorinated YMCA pool. With his unique form of comedic storytelling, Birbiglia chronicles a coming-of-middle-age story that asks the big questions: Why are we here? What’s next? What happens when the items at the doctor’s office that you thought were decorative become functional?”

F L O W ! || 11am – 4pm || August 2nd – 6th Daily

“F L O W ! is an invitation to discover the magic of the physical environment through a series of immersive art installations. Over the summer, a series of three interconnected installations will fill the OXY ARTS space. Each installation explores a unique scientific principle essential to our day-to-day lives but that we often don’t think about — Fluids, Light, and Optics.”

SBA Federal Small Business Certifications Workshop || 10am – 12pm August 3rd

“Join us and learn how you can leverage small business certifications to diversify your revenue stream and improve your bottom line. Women’s Red Tent || 7:30pm – 10pm August 5th

“The Red Tent is a collective of women coming together to share the journey of womanhood. It is a social event where our intention is to bring in organically both the quiet spaces and the spontaneous moments where anything can happen such as storytelling, poetry, dancing and something as simple as laying a head in your mother’s lap while she strokes it.”

Back to the Future with the LA Phil || 8pm August 5th – 6th

Uncorked: LA Summer Wine Fest || 7pm – 11pm August 6th
