In honor of Women’s History Month, Modern Day Wife (MDW) produced the What She Said Event in collaboration with the W Hotel Hollywood and L.A. STYLE Magazine on March 24th, 2022. The concept of #WhatSheSaid stands behind celebrating the powerful women who live in our communities. The event created a platform for women-owned brands, business leaders, influencers and more to learn from each other, connect, build community and share their experiences.
To kick off the MDW event, sponsors and influencers joined together for a fabulous Vanity Fair photo opp. Decor fun with Sierra Blooms, Blooming events co, Paper Gardens, Susie HalaHala’s Flowers & Events, Alpha Lit and Yaneth Events were at the forefront of the What She Said event and its exceptional instagrammable moments.
Hosted on the wet deck, the VIP Pre Party, featured a pre-toast sponsored by Chambord and Korbel featuring the Chambord Royale Cocktail the official What She Said Cocktail — swag bags, a book signing with Gloria Mayfield Banks, De Soi tasting and an exclusive photo opp. The MDW pop-up experience took part of the main event as guests shopped from women-owned brands with over 20 pop-ups available.
Guests later enjoyed fireside chats by Irina Sardaryan, Regional Manager for Rogers Benefit Group with over 20 years of experience and Gloria Mayfield Banks, author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker, celebrated for being the number one elite executive national sales director for Mary Kay in the world. These fireside chats were an opener for two panels that featured female entrepreneurs taking their respective industries by storm. The business power panel moderated by the publisher of L.A. STYLE Magazine Tricia Love Vargas, included, Chelsea Glauber, Tiffany Asamoah, Andrea Marcellus, Ann Marie Ahern and Angel Collins, Johanna Hernandez, Annie Graham, Diana Nguyen and Jasmine Washington. After a powerful conversation through the business power panel, the What She Said panel moderated by American television personality Julie Chen Moonves, included celebrities such as, Sharna Burgess, Cynthia Bailey, Gloria Mayfield Banks, Allegra Edwards, Heidy Cortez and Teddi Mellencamp.
To close off the What She Said event, MDW hosted a show stopping fashion show where select brands showcased their lines. From athleisure wear to luxe night on the town looks, the fashion show featured Esther Valentina, Ever & Ivy, Jane Israel, Ali8ned Apparel and Madison Savile.
