U.S. Army, 15-year veteran, 4 deployments: 2 to Iraq, 2 to Afghanistan

Power of Being Female: This West Point graduate, CrossFit competitor, and proud mom of two states,
“Having the opportunity to serve my country, not limited by being a woman, is humbling. Women in the
Army are expected to perform just as the men do. Knowing that I am capable of that when put in any
situation is extremely gratifying.

Most rewarding, memorable experience in service: I have many moments that fit this description, but I would have to say graduating Air Assault school is pretty high on the list. What made it so rewarding was the fact that I was only 2 ½ months post-partum with my second child. It was the only opportunity I would have to go to the course before we deployed, so although not the greatest timing, it had to be then. Realizing that I could push my body and perform the way I did that soon after giving birth
was pretty amazing.

Favorite beauty routine: “My routine is just about the same for in and out of uniform. I prefer a quicker routine just because of my busy schedule, and try to keep the more natural look most of the time. It consists of moisturizer, light foundation and mascara.”

Civilian Occupation and/or collegiate accolades: “Graduate of West Point. Currently in the US Army Reserve,
civilian occupation is a Force Development, Management Analyst. Having the opportunity to serve my country, not limited by being a woman, is humbling. Women in the Army are expected to perform just as the men do. Knowing that I am capable of that when put in any situation is extremely gratifying.”
