Experts have been raving about olive oil. It contains antioxidants that can repair damaged skin and regenerate healthy skin cells. It also contains fatty acids that also protect your liver from oxidative stress. It is an all-in-one product!

This super oil has even more exciting aspects. For example, olive oil works as a conditioner on your eyelashes, it nourishes your hair follicles to encourage growth. Many people use olive oil in their hair as well because of that purpose. Plus, the oil gives your hair a natural shine after rinsing.

Besides being an ally for the health of your skin, it can be used in many ways. The oil properties create a formula that helps remove stubborn, waxy eye makeup like waterproof mascara. Beauticians and cosmetologists have used this product in their practices for decades because it usually works well with all skin types.

Olive oil is an easy product to use because of its gentle nature. Generally, it’s safe to use with other products. So, you can add this to your daily makeup routine.

An effective way to use olive oil for moisturizing purposes is to apply it to wet skin right after showering and allowing the oil to gently absorb. Doing this will create hydration in your skin while your pores are open from your shower. Olive oil works by trapping water in your skin and extending the absorption time. Your skin will stay hydrated all day.

There is a downside to using olive oil on your skin. Like most oils, it can cause build-up on your skin and it can cause breakouts or worsen existing acne. There are ways to prevent acne while using olive oil. Washing your face thoroughly at the end of the day and in the morning will keep the oil from building up and clogging pores.

Try not to use excessive amounts of oil in each use. A little goes a long way when it comes to  oil. Using too much on your skin can clog pores and cause acne. Oils can trap dirt and bacteria as well and further issues with acne and breakouts. Dermatologists recommend to those who experience problems with blemishes not to use products that trap moisture. Instead, try to dry the skin out with a cleanser and apply a light moisturizer.

Nature is always the best way to go when it comes to taking care of your skin. Olive oil is an easy way to take care of almost every skin health issue. A little goes a long way, and the results will have you amazed.
